Great Job Patriots! Our first time out as a middle school group in track and field was successful. It was a beautiful day, yet chilly for those standing on the sidelines with a slight breeze. Our athletes worked hard. We had a number of athletes in the top ten and may have had more, but most of our girls headed out early for a volleyball game.
Dalton Rathjen crushed the shot and discus. He earned first place in both. Reese Kuetermeyer ended with 5th and 6th, Tucker earned 7th in both.
Logan LaBrie, Devin Enander, Patrick Maynard, and Matthew Salmen earned 2nd in the medley relay. Also, Logan earned 2nd in the high jump with Devin coming in 4th, and Patrick in 6th.
Brynn Binger, Peyton Knox, Adelynne Ihnen, and Kaylie LaBrie earned 5th in the medley relay. Seth Smith, Jack Remily, Tayber Hansen, and Broodie Boomsma earned 4th.
Devin Enander got 2nd in the long jump with Max Gilbert in 7th and Gentry Puffer in 7th. Krue Lutter got 9th and Emmerie got 5th. Patrick Maynard got 7th in the triple jump.
Our 6th Grade boys got first place in the 4X200 Relay in the 7th grade division: Gentry Puffer, David Bixler, Breckan Estey, and Neil Salmen. These same boys earned 2nd in the 4X400 relay at the end of the day. Krue Lutter, Laina Puffer, Adelynne Ihnen, and Eliana Van Scharrel earned 6th in the 4X200 relay.
Laina Puffer, Peyton Knox, RaeAnna Knock, and Kaylie LaBrie earned 6th in the 4X100 relay. Our boys ended up 7th: Reese Kuestermeyer, Jack Remily, Bryxx Bawek, and Seth Smith.
In the 100 hurdles Neil Salmen earned 2nd, Talon Schultz got 5th, RaeAnna got 7th, and Matthew Salmen earned 5th.
In the 200 hurdles Patrick Maynard got 2nd, Matthew Salmen earned 5th. Neil Salmen earned 3rd and Talon Schultz got 5th.
Max Gilbert earned 10th in the 400 and 9th in the 800. Breckan Estey earned 10th in the 1600M.
Emmerie Arthurs got first in the 200M dash. Devin Enander got 2nd in the 100M dash. Gentry Puffer earned 6th, Laina Puffer and Krue Lutter tied for 8th.
Great job to all. It was fun to watch them compete and keep battling all the way to the end. Our varsity team is heading to Estelline Tuesday April 25 for our next big day on the track. Thank you parents and fans for coming out to support our athletes. #GoPatriotNation
