The Patriot Nation Track and Field season went well. We competed in the 281 Conference meet earning third place in both boys and girls. In our region meet girls got 6th place and our boys earned 2nd place. Our efforts during the entire season got 6th of our athletes earning spots in individual events at the State Track Meet and two boys relays. At the State Track Meet as a team boys ended up 17th overall out of 40 teams; our girls ended up 36th out of 46 teams. Brendan Nowell competed in the triple jump and ended up 14th. Emma Schneider competed in the long jump and ended up 25th. Erik Salmen earned the first medal with 7th place in Discus. He ended 16th in Shot Put.

Our boys relays did well, Brendan Nowell, Erik Salmen, TJ Salmen, Landon Puffer, our alternates Payton Chasing Hawk and Logan LaBrie. Our 4 X 100 relay came in 23rd and we ended in 14th place. Our 4 X 200 relay came in 23rd and we ended in 16th.

Landon Puffer competed in the long jump and earned a 5th place finish. Landon competed in the 200M dash as well and ended up 17th.

Avery Miles competed in the 400M dash and ended 12th. She also competed in the 800M run earning a 6th place finish. Avery also competed in the 1600M run earning an 8th place finish.

TJ Salmen had qualified in the 200M Dash and 400M Dash, but was part of our boys relays, so he did not compete in those races. TJ finished out our track season with two hard fought battles in the 110M Hurdles and the 300M Hurdles. He won both his heats in the preliminary races and on Saturday earned a 4th place finish in the 110M Hurdles and a 2nd place finish in the 300M Hurdles.
