The Lady Patriots traveled up to Redfield to take on the Pheasants. The atmosphere was electric the whole game. In set one, the Patriots jumped out to a lead and extended to as much as seven, as Redfield took their second time out of the set. The Pheasants came roaring back as they tied the Patriots at 24 . The Patriots closed out set one with a 26-24 win.
Set two was all the Patriots, behind some long serving runs. The Patriots jumped out to a five point lead and never looked back as they won set two 25-12.
The final set of night proved to be another close one as both teams exchanged points for a majority of the sets. Ultimately, the Patriots would close out the match with a 25-22 set win.
Katelyn Schroeder and Rebecca Huizenga led the Patriots with seven kills each. Isabel Gilbert chipped in six kills. Lila Johnson orchestrated the offense with 17 assists on the night
The Patriots recorded 10 aces on the night, led by Schroeder with three. Avarie Estey came off the bench and recorded two aces. Cambree Hoekman also recorded two aces.
Defensively, Schroeder would record 12 digs and Hoekman had 11 digs. Gilbert played a big role at the net with 1 solo block and 2 block assists.
The Patriots (3-2) will be back in action on Thursday night as they travel to James Valley Christian to take on the Vikings to open the 281 Conference season. Game time is set fort 5:00 p.m with one Jr. High game, followed by the JV match starting about 6:00 p.m
