The Patriots won Friday night against the Waverly-South Shore Coyotes. The Coyotes have a great group of players. The passing attack from the Coyotes got to us at times, but overall we played well.
It was good for us to play a complete game and a hard fought game all the way to the end. All of our players were able to get into the game at some point. We have lots to work and improve on for next week.
A few of the defensive highlights were two forced fumbles by #23 Blaze Binger and #45 Erik Salmen, and an interception by #20 Cameron Noethlich. #56 Dalton Rathjen had two sacks and #55 Preston Wipf had one sack. We had 6 rushing touchdowns and 2 receiving touchdowns thrown by #3 Brendan Nowell. #4 Patrick Maynard had 3 total and #45 Erik Salmen had 5 total. #45 Erik Salmen had to long runs: one for 96 yards where he broken five tackles and one for 66 yards where he blasted out of the gates barely touched all the way to the end zone.
