The Patriots had a relatively easy night as they recorded their thirteenth victory in a row by sweeping the Pirates in straight sets; 25-11, 25-5, and 25-13.
In all three sets, the Patriots set the tone early with some aggressive serving and powerful hitting. The ladies put up some big numbers on the Pirates as they look to become more consistent each night out.
Offensively, leading the way for the Patriots was Katelyn Schroeder with 12 kills. Lila Johnson had a nice game at the net and recorded 6 kills. Rebecca Huizenga also tallied 5 kills. Gracyn Bixler and Lila Johnson each recorded 13 assists on the night.
The Patriots had another strong performance from the serve line, only missing 5 serves and recording 17 aces. Isabel Gilbert, Bixler, and Ella Johnson each recorded 4 aces. Lila Johnson was right behind them with 3 aces.
There were a few blocks recorded in the contest with Gilbert and Cora Hofer each recording 2 block assists. No one hit double digits in the digging, but Cambree Hoekman came up with 9 digs and Lila Johnson had 8 digs.
The Patriots will get the weekend off, but will be back in action on Tuesday night in another 281 Conference match. The ladies will host Iroquois-Lake Preston in their sole homecoming match of the week. First serve is scheduled with the Jr. High at 5:15 in Hitchcock.
