The Patriots picked up their 27th victory on Thursday night, as they swept the Sully Buttes Chargers with easy fashion. Set scores were 25-8, 25-11, and 25-12.
The ladies used a variety of aggressive serves and a variety of hitters as they controlled every aspect of the the match.
Offensively, the Patriots used several different hitters to attack the Chargers. Katelyn Schroeder led the way with 11 kills. Rebecca Huizenga followed that with seven kills. Isabel Gilbert added four kills. Cora Hofer pounded out three kills. Lila Johnson and Emma Schneider recorded two kills each and Ella Johnson tallied one kill to round out the scoring. The back row passed a great throughout the night to help with getting the hitters set up.
Setting; Lila Johnson recorded 15 assists and Gracyn Bixler added in 11.
The Patriots recorded 13 aces in the contest, led by Ella Johnson with 6 aces. Gilbert recorded three aces and Lila Johnson and Bixler each tallied two aces.
Defensively, the digs were spread throughout the team with Emmerie Arthurs leading with eight digs. Lila added in six, with Bixler and Schroeder each adding five. The front line also did their part with the blocks as there were eight block assists recorded with Gilbert, Huizenga, and Hofer each getting two apiece. Schroder would also record the one solo block.
The JV won 2-0 in two close sets.
The Patriots (27-2) will close out the regular season and they travel to Wessington Springs to take on the Spartans. First serve is a little earlier with the Jr. High beginning at 5:00 p.m. and JV will follow at 6:15 p.m.
