The Rain Bowl In Tulare

The Patriots came out strong against Britton-Hecla with a score of 30 to zero at the end of the 1st quarter. While dealing with a lot of adversity and with the rain coming down the Patriots held strong and won the fourth quarter ending with a score of 50 to 18. Landon Puffer had another quality kicking game and had his first touch back of the year. He ended with 8 solo tackles as well and one 40 yard interception return. Jack Boomsma had an 80 yard interception return and one two point conversion. Erik Salmen was our leading rusher with 163 yards two touchdowns, one 30 yard interception return for a touchdown, and two fumble recoveries. Our “King” Kyle Hamilton had three rushing touchdowns, and threw for two 2pt conversions to TJ Salmen. Mason Bottum came into the quarterback role to score one rushing touchdown. The first quarter of the game was very impressive and our Patriots never gave in and continued to fight into the fourth. Thank you for all of your support. We look forward to Great Plains Lutheran this next week with 7,8, and 9th playing at 4PM and Varsity playing at 6PM in Watertown.
