The Patriots Walk The Plank In Loss To Pirates

 

The HT Patriots had another battle on their hands facing the #1 team in 9B, the Avon Pirates. The game came down to which team would make their two point conversions. The Pirates got three two point conversions completed and the HT Patriots got two completed. The Patriots had their chances with a drive just before half and receiving the ball just after the half, but failed to score in both opportunities. Our Patriots never gave up and fought to the very end. The Patriots were one 4th down stop away from getting the ball back with a chance to score with seconds remaining on the clock, but missed that opportunity. Our leading tackler was TJ Salmen with 9 solo tackles followed by Landon Puffer with 7, Erik Salmen and Mason Bottum with 4. Caden Bottum recovered a fumble recovery. Our offense was lead by Erik Salmen with 178 yards and three touchdowns. Landon Puffer did a great job filling in as our QB with 1 rushing touchdown and 51 yards of passing for some key first downs. TJ Salmen, Cole Schroeder, Kyle Hamilton, and Zach Gilbert all had receptions for positive yards. Our Patriots are ready for their opportunity for a home game in the first round of 9B play-offs.
