The Lady Patriots Volleyball season came to an end on Tuesday night as the Castlewood Warriors swept the Patriots 0-3. (21-25, 11-25, 20-25)

In the first set, the Patriots came out sluggish and had a hard time getting in-sync as the Warriors used aggressive serving to get the Patriots out of system. The Patriots would find themselves down 14-22 as Coach Opp called the final time out of the set. The Patriots would make a run at the end and cut the Warriors lead to 19-22 as the Warriors called a time out; but it would not be enough as the Patriots would fall 21-25.

In set 2, the Warriors jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. The Patriots found themselves down big and could not recover from the deficit and they fell 11-25.

The final set of the night proved to be the closest one as the Patriots and Warriors would battle point for point. The Warriors managed to go on a scoring run midway through the third set and finished off the Patriots in set 3, 20-25, and taking the match 3-0.

Leading the way for the Patriots was Katelyn Schroeder with 15 kills, going 27-30 and hitting a .400. Schroeder would also lead the team with 20 digs, 2 ace serves, and 1 block assist. Defensively, Presley Binger, Shandi Chasing Hawk, and Brooklyn Frankenstein would all record 10 digs apiece. Shandi Chasing Hawk handed out 20 assists.

The Patriots finished the season at 12-15 and fourth in the 281 conference. The Ladies gained valuable experience, which will be huge in the future. We would also like to wish our  four seniors, Bethany Wiebe, Madison Hofer, Shandi Chasing Hawk, and Danielle Nowell,  good luck in the future endeavors. They were a huge part of the volleyball program at Hitchcock-Tulare the last six years.
