In a close game, the Patriots pulled out a victory over the 5-3 Monarchs! After the 1st quarter, Warner was up 2 but a late layup at the buzzer by Jack Boomsma cut the lead to 1 point at halftime, 23-24. The Patriots led by Zach Gilbert and Kyle Hamilton in the 3rd quarter gave the advantage to Patriots 34-31. Huge free throws by Jackson Maynard in the 4th quarter sealed the game for the Patriots to take a rare win against Warner 54-49. This is the 1st time in 11 years the Patriots have beaten the Monarchs.
The Patriots were led by Jackson Maynard with 17 points, 8-10 from the Free Throw line. He also added 9 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 blocked shot. Kyle Hamilton had a huge game by adding 15 points and 2 blocked shots. Zach Gilbert continued his great shooting for the season by contributing 10 points, 2-5 from 3pt land. Erik Salmen provided a boost once again from the bench with 6 points. The Patriots ended the game with 8 blocked shots and 3 charges.
The next game is against Sanborn Central/Woonsocket in the 1st Round of the 281 Conference Tournament on Saturday.
