The Patriots used a balance attack against JVC to take home a victory in the 281 Conference Tournament in the Huron Arena. The Patriots rally back from a 7 point deficit in the 1st quarter to take a 1 point lead going into halftime after a last second 3pt shot from Jack Boomsma. The Patriots outscored the Vikings in the 2nd quarter 15-7. Both teams came out shooting well in the 3rd quarter but the Patriots held their lead 44-40. Then in the 4th quarter, Jackson Maynard took over the game for the Patriots scoring all 12 of his points. Some late free throw misses kept the game within reach though for the Vikings and a late 3 point shot got JVC within 2 points with a few seconds left. The Patriots were able to secure a few offensive rebounds at the end of the game sealing the game, 60-56. This victory is the highest the Patriots have finished in the 281 Conference Tournament since 2014-2015 season. (3rd Place)

The Patriots were led by Kyle Hamilton with 16 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist. Jackson Maynard struggled early to find his shot, but came on strong in the 4th quarter finishing with 12 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocked shots. Jack Boomsma finished with 10 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals. TJ Salmen finished with 7 points, 6 rebounds, 2 blocked shots, 1 steal. Coming off the bench, Erik Salmen and Cole Schroeder provided a huge lift once again. Cole finishing with 6 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and Erik having 5 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, 3 blocked shots.

The Patriots will get back to the regular season on Tuesday, January 25th against Redfield in Tulare.
